Talula wanted to make things better by representing the UN and providing those in the belt with first class medical treatment. In her eyes, anything from Earth was the best there was to offer. She grew up in a Navy family, constantly told that the UN was the best and to be proud of her allegiance. As a teen, was in JROTC and excelled in the program as well as in all her STEM classes. She enlisted as soon as she was 18. There was no question. That’s what her older brother had done. That’s what her parents had done before her. She could not imagine any other life. She worked as a field medic until age 34, when she aged out and was forced to retire. She then became an NCO doctor. She worked on Earth for years, but she was restless and bored, feeling that she didn’t make as much of a difference on Earth as she did on the belt. She finally convinced her superiors to ship her to the medical facility on Rhea’s outpost.
